With consumers wanting to reduce kettle-boiling time, there has been a growing number of instant boiling water taps entering the market over recent years. Often providing boiling or just below boiling water at the touch of a button, they are quickly becoming a kitchen must-have for both workplaces and homes. But as with anything ‘new’ people want to know that as well as being convenient, they are safe.
It’s important to note that these products can vary quite a lot in terms of how they dispense water. It may seem like an obvious point, but when you’ve experienced a steam burn from a kettle, you want to know that won’t happen when using your boiling tap.
The good news is there is an alternative, which not only safely provides filtered boiling water, but also gives you filtered chilled and sparkling water, as well as regular hot and cold. Our HydroTap All-in-One Arc is revolutionising how we consume water thanks to its staggering five water types available from just one single tap and one under-counter unit, but it also boasts safety features making it suitable for both workplaces and family homes alike.
Because the water produced from the All-in-One Arc is set to 98℃ there is no dangerous spluttering or boiling hot steam, but a constant, smooth flow of water. This temperature also ensures hot drinks taste as they should - using boiling water to make tea and coffee isn’t advised as it can burn the beans and leaves. And, just in case small hands can reach the tap controls, we have made our tap cool to touch and also includes a boiling isolation mode, so boiling water cannot be accidentally accessed.
With so many instant boiling products now available, it is worth drilling down to the detail in terms of what makes them stand out from the rest, and how safe they are is definitely a key consideration.
