25-03-20 COVID-19 Update -Guidance for isolating HydroBoils

As more offices and workplaces are closing due to the COVID 19 situation, more customers are asking for guidance on what to do with their HydroBoils during the periods of non-use. Please use the below guidance in these instances:

When leaving an office for periods of time longer than 48 hours

1.   Isolate the HydroBoil

a.   Turn the electrical power supply off

b.   Isolate the mains water at the valve (this is required to drain down the HydroBoil)

2.   Drain down the HydroBoil

a.   With the HydroBoil isolated from both power and water, use the tap control to dispense into a suitable jug/container or sink until no water runs

b.   If the mains water cannot be isolated at the valve, the HydroBoil will need to be flushed through on your return. Instructions on how to do this can be found on our FAQ.

When returning to an office after periods of time longer than 48 hours

To turn the HydroBoil back on please follow the below step-by step process:

If mains water is isolated, turn it back on at the valve. If the mains water was not isolated, please flush HydroBoil section below then return to this point (instructions on how to do this can be found on our FAQ)
When water flows from the tap outlet you can turn the electrical power supply on. The HydroBoil will then fill and heat
Your HydroBoil is now ready for use
